What started as a painted old drum set has transformed into a revolution of spreading love. Brandon Thrift, an artist in Sarasota, had a burst of creativity in his once garage art studio to "spread love" to those around him through creative expression. He began this creative journey by searching for any thought-provoking or attention-grabbing item to paint and emphasize the power of love in his community.
Tre Michel, owner of State of the Arts Gallery in Sarasota, first stumbled across one of Brandon's art pieces on her daily walk along Siesta Beach. Tre decided to post the artwork from the once anonymous artist on social media. Brandon Thrift came across this post and reached out to Tre, thanking her for the shout-out. Since then, Tre has helped Brandon and his passion for spreading love in the Sarasota area.
Brandon’s determined decision to act upon his creative vision has allowed him to showcase his art around the community. He dreams of using his art as a tool that can impact mental health by enhancing the lives of those who view his artistic creations.
“Experiencing firsthand the reception and positive support of my art movement around my hometown of Sarasota has been an absolute blessing and reminder that we as people rely on each other for community, communication through energy, and above all else, the most fundamental aspect of human connectivity: LOVE” Brandon explained.
Brandon's creative journey has allowed him to be a "voice for the voiceless" through his unique gift of art and inclusion. He continues to spread his talents amongst the Sarasota community to provide a sense of hope and belonging to those who need it the most. It's all in the name of love for Brandon Thrift.
